ASU Parking Services Updates
Increased Parking Availability
Arizona State University (ASU) Parking and Transportation Services has announced an increase in parking availability for the upcoming academic year. This increase is in response to the growing demand for parking on campus, and is part of ASU's commitment to providing a safe and convenient parking experience for all students, faculty, and staff.
The additional parking spaces will be located in various parking lots across campus, including the newly constructed parking garage at the College Avenue Commons. The garage will provide over 1,000 new parking spaces, and will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
New Parking Permit Options
In addition to the increased parking availability, ASU Parking and Transportation Services is also introducing new parking permit options for the upcoming academic year. These new options will provide students, faculty, and staff with more flexibility and choice when it comes to parking on campus.
One of the new permit options is the "Flex Permit". This permit will allow students, faculty, and staff to park in any non-reserved parking space on campus. The Flex Permit will be available for purchase at a reduced rate compared to the traditional "Reserved Permit".
Improved Transportation Services
ASU Parking and Transportation Services is also committed to improving transportation services on campus. This includes increasing the frequency of shuttle buses, and expanding the reach of the ASU Zipcar program.
The ASU Zipcar program provides students, faculty, and staff with access to a fleet of vehicles that can be rented by the hour or by the day. The program is designed to provide a convenient and affordable transportation option for those who do not have their own vehicle or who need to get around campus quickly and easily.
Commitment to Sustainability
ASU Parking and Transportation Services is committed to sustainability, and is working to reduce the environmental impact of its operations. This includes using energy-efficient lighting in parking garages, and installing electric vehicle charging stations across campus.
ASU is also working to promote alternative transportation options, such as biking and walking. The university has a network of bike paths and trails that connect all of the campuses, and offers a variety of programs and incentives to encourage students, faculty, and staff to bike to campus.
