About the Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers are an American professional basketball team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Pacers compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Eastern Conference Central Division. The team was founded in 1967 as the Indiana Pacers and joined the ABA as a charter member. They joined the NBA in 1976 when the ABA and NBA merged.
The Pacers have won three ABA championships (1970, 1972, and 1973) and three NBA Eastern Conference championships (2000, 2004, and 2013). They have also won six ABA Eastern Division championships and three NBA Central Division championships.
