Manchester City to Face Real Madrid in Champions League Semifinals
City Seek to Overcome 14-Time Winners
Erling Haaland's Impressive Form Continues
Manchester City will face off against record 14-time winners Real Madrid in the semifinals of the Champions League, a highly anticipated matchup between two of Europe's top clubs.
City, who are chasing their first Champions League title since 2018, have been in impressive form this season, boasting a deep squad with attacking threats such as Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne.
Haaland, in particular, has been in exceptional form, scoring 82 goals and providing 15 assists in just 90 matches for City. The Norwegian striker will be a key figure for the English side as they look to overcome the experience and pedigree of Real Madrid.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, are no strangers to the latter stages of the Champions League. The Spanish giants have won the competition a record 14 times and will be looking to add to their tally this season.
The two clubs have met on four previous occasions in the Champions League, with Real Madrid holding a 3-1 advantage. However, City will be confident of their chances, having defeated Real Madrid in the group stage of the 2019-2020 season.
The first leg of the semifinal will be played at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on April 26, with the second leg taking place at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid on May 4.
